Projects - Overview
The Groups focus in Brazil is the world class Carajas Mineral District where the core gold and nickel projects are located. The Carajas contains significant reserves of iron, copper, gold, manganese and bauxite have been discovered. The geological evolution of this province occurred almost entirely in the Archean and is host to a wide range of gold and base metal deposits.
The Group has 100% ownership of its two core gold exploration projects in Brazil, Tangara and Falcao, its core silver-zinc-lead project, El Agulia, in Peru and its three early stage gold exploration projects in Brazil. The total land area over which the Group holds exploration rights is approximately 80,000ha. These exploration projects are characterised by transportation links, proximity to established exploration and production infrastructure and are located predominantly in areas previously cleared for agricultural purposes.
